The Great Enlightened Internet Learner: Learning at Age 17 what Others Learned at Age 3.
On Wednesday ( that would be, what... day before yesterday? ) I started teaching myself hiragana off of the internets. I'm both excited and aprehensive. It's making me think of how horrid I was at Spanish when I first started, and at least that uses the same alphabet as English. ( Actually, I'm still not very good at Spanish. I'm only a fourth-year student in it, so I feel like I'm nowhere near fluency. But on the other hand, I got 34/35 on the reading and 32/35 on the listening of some official test we did... so I guess I'm ok )
Dad just got back from Florida. Apparently it was rather grating, so I'm glad that I didn't go.
