Also, as some of the comments of the article pointed out: how can she possibly be going against God's will be removing life support that is keeping her alive artificially? That seriously doesn't even make sense.
And I think --- while desperation to keep one's child alive even a little longer is surely understandable, wouldn't it give one pause to realize that the only way to do that is to try to get a perfectly mentally normal adult declared incompetent? Like, how is it that they didn't realize at that point that they had crossed a line? This isn't at all an ambiguous case. She is terminally ill anyway, and she isn't asking for any kind of active euthanasia. I'm so glad that at least it seems like all of the judges who have heard the case have been unimpressed by the parents' arguments.
